Seamless Gutter Installation
How are they different from regular gutters?
Seamless gutters are made from one long, continuous piece of gutter that’s cut to fit the shape of your house. They’re different from standard gutters because they’re made of large pieces that are formed specifically to each side of your home.
Standard gutters are made of smaller 10 to 20-foot sections and pieces that are welded or sealed together, giving them a number of seams. Since seamless gutters are made from one large piece that’s calculated to fit your home, there’s no need for all of those seams.

Are they really seamless?
Seamless gutters aren’t actually 100% seamless, because corners and downspout sections do have to be connected by a sealant or welded together, but overall there are considerably fewer seams in a seamless gutter system, which means there’s a far smaller chance of leaks in the future. Before installing, a seamless gutter professional will come out to inspect your home and make the necessary measurements of your roof. From there, they will order the proper size gutters based on the straight lengths of your home. Each straight section of your roof will have just one piece of gutter, as opposed to the traditional method, where multiple pieces of gutter are welded or sealed together.
The benefits of seamless gutters
Fewer Leaks
Less Debris
Traditional sectioned gutters have seams or ridges where one gutter is attached to another that make it easy for leaves and other debris to build up. Seamless gutters, however, have no ridges or seams, which makes it really difficult for leaves and twigs to stick to your gutters. This means there’s considerably less buildup, which lessens the work you have to do to clean out the gutters every year and better protects your home.
They Look Great
Easy to Maintain
Perhaps the best benefit of seamless gutters is that they are very low-maintenance. When you have seamless gutters, you don’t have to go around inspecting every inch of your home’s gutters and you don’t have to worry about cleaning them out as often. If you do any maintenance, it’ll simply be checking the very few corner pieces of the seamless gutter system, which is a lot less work than inspecting each and every inch of your gutters. Additionally, since seamless gutters collect considerably less debris, you can put off that chore of cleaning out the gutters for quite a bit longer than you could with traditional gutters.
Seamless Gutter Considerations
Though we think seamless gutters are the best option for most (if not all) homeowners, there are a couple of things you’ll want to consider before you decide to have seamless gutters installed on your home:
Cost
It’s good to know that seamless gutters will cost you a bit more up front. They’re a bit trickier to install, and each piece has to be made to fit your home, which drives the initial price up. That said, seamless gutters are likely to last much longer, and they don’t come with the same maintenance costs that accompany gutters with seams. This means that over time, you’ll likely spend much less keeping up your gutters, and you’ll have them for a lot longer period of time.
When you factor in overall costs and maintenance, seamless gutters don’t cost that much more than traditional seamed gutters in the long run, you just have to be willing to pay a bit more for your initial investment.
Installation
When you choose to go with seamless gutters, know that you’ll need an experienced professional to do the installation. In the past, it’s been easy for any homebuilder and even some handy homeowners to install their own seamed gutters. This isn’t possible with seamless gutters. Since they require precise measurements and calculations and are installed a bit differently, you will need someone who regularly handles seamless gutters to take care of the installation, which might seem like a bit of a hassle.
If you live in West Michigan, however, it’s good to know that the roofers at Werner have been installing gutters for years, and will have no problem fitting your home with some nice, new seamless gutters that look great and will last a lifetime!
Seamless gutters are an excellent choice for any homeowner who wants to avoid a lot of extra gutter cleaning and maintenance. They’re a durable, reliable product made from aluminum, vinyl, or steel, and are guaranteed to prevent leaks. When you opt for seamless gutters, you’ll get a unified look for the exterior of your home that’s also very practical. Seamless gutters are considerably more impervious to leaks and clogs, making them a low-maintenance choice for your home. STANDING SEAM METAL ROOFS
Standing seam metal roofs are composed of panels of metal that run from the top of the roof all the way to the gutter of your home. These panels are attached together with fasteners that are then concealed by seams that are raised about 1 to 2 inches above the level of the panels. These raised seams are what gives the roof its name and what keep water and precipitation from leaking through the fastener areas. The interlocking seams make your roof more resistant to all types of weather and promote thermal movement without damaging your roof.
At Werner Roofing, we exclusively use metal materials from Sheffield Metals. Sheffield guarantees the highest standard in durability and sustainability, which is why we trust them as our only metal supplier. Sheffield Metals feature a unique COOLR® technology finish that reflects solar energy before it turns into heat. This technology means that your home will stay cool in the summer, without any additional energy from your air conditioner, a typical problem with other metal roofs that do not use COOLR®.
